About Us
Sean McCarthy graduated from the American School of Equine Dentistry and apprenticed under several top veterinarians and equine dentists in the industry. He is certified through the Equine Dental Providers of America, which is a Veterinary Board-Certified program. Sean has been a practitioner for almost 15 years and is frequently called in by veterinarians on more complex cases. Throughout his career, Sean has also served as an apprentice himself, wrote numerous articles on equine dental care, and offers equine dental clinics throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and Florida. His list of clientele includes Olympic riders, Veterinarians, and upper-level riders in almost every discipline who use Sean for their personal horses.
Since Sean spends a great deal of time on the road, his wife Rachael McCarthy schedules all of his appointments and often accompanies him on longer trips. Together, they reside on a farm outside of Berryville, VA and recently purchased a second located north of Ocala, Florida.
